Your content needs to be (1 or more of the list below):

  • Useful

  • Engaging

  • Educational

  • Fun

  • Funny

  • Emotional

  • Inspiring

Content Sales Strategy success is all about quality content made regularly and consistently by professional business people on their own websites and blog plus on platforms like YouTube, Spotify, Industry blogs, LikedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Evergreen Content:

It's worth investing in better quality evergreen content. Some of your content will be evergreen professionally produced branded content. Evergreen content will usually take between 2-10 hours to create. If you are not a creative person it's worth working with a Creative Agency or Freelancers to help you make this content. This type of content will cost more money to create but you will re-use it relatively regularly. This content will also be used on your website and in 5 Day Challenges. It's middle and end of the sales funnel stuff so it needs to be good. If you want to know more about working with Agencies and Freelancers read the blog Stop! What You Need To Know Before You Film.

Casual Disposable Content:

The vast majority of your content, however, will be casual "behind the scenes" style content. Videos shot, edited, and distributed from your smartphone, casually written copy, and photo content created on sites such as This content will usually take 5 to 15 minutes to create, edit, and distribute. This content will often be shared on social media platforms.

This is often time-specific content and offers real added value to the audience. On many social media platforms, casual behind the scenes content typically generate more likes, shares, and comments (than official branded content).

They are also great for growing relationships with your audience as you can talk to them more often.

Casual content is top of the sales funnel stuff. It's a volume game and the main point is to find new eyeballs and generate interest in what you and your brand offer.

Consistency and Quality:

Consistent creation is key in Content Strategy. You also need to be consistent with the quality you offer. Your casual content won't be as well produced as your evergreen content. However, it needs to be watchable, readable, and listenable for your audience. If you want to know more check out the article How to Film Better Videos.

To sum up:

A well-managed content strategy will help you generate new leads and will enable you to appear on the radar of your prospects before you call them If you ever need to call a prospect the call is not cold. It is warmed up and often warmly received. Another major plus in using this technique is many people who use it have managed to eradicate the need to go to in-person networking entirely, which saves them thousands of hours of time and a similar amount in financial expense.
